A split decision of the 2nd District Court of Appeal protects lawyers' ability to inform the public about both their own activities and the activities of companies accused of cheating the government or consumers. The court's decision is a positive affirmation of free speech which should discourage companies from filing lawsuits against lawyers who tackle them.
