Financial elder abuse costs Morgan Stanley $8.1M

A pair of attorneys at Huang Ybarra Singer & May LLP earned an unusually high award this week from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

The brokerage regulatory body's panel of three arbitrators awarded $8.1 million in damages, including $2 million in punitives, against Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC for charges including financial elder abuse.
