Top Defense Verdicts--Lieutenant Taylor v. Thrifty Payless, Inc. dba Rite Aid


Most pharmacies are litigation shy, said Kevin T. Dunbar, because they usually have no defense to the main issue that an error had been made.


"They usually get their butts kicked," he said.


In the case that Dunbar successfully defended, at issue was an illiterate 56-year-old African-American male, who was prescribed two medications by his treating physician. Taylor v. Thrifty Payless Inc., BC426055 (Los Angeles Super. Ct.).
