Top 5 Appellate Reversals--Oracle USA, Inc., et al. v. SAP AG, et al.


After four years of litigation in Oracle USA, Inc., v. SAP AG, software company SAP and their Jones Day team of trial attorneys were able to successfully reverse a $1.3 billion jury verdict - the largest copyright infringement award in U.S. history - in favor of $272 million in damages or a new trial.


The case began in March 2007 when Oracle sued SAP America and TomorrowNow, a small Texas-based company that SAP acquired in January 2005.
