Senate Democrats Urge GOP to Permit Judicial Nominee Votes

WASHINGTON-As the days in this election-year congressional term dwindle, both parties continue to use federal judicial nominees as political currency. On Friday, Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., said that if Republicans expect Democratic support in passing appropriations bills, they must permit floor votes on 20 Clinton judicial nominees before Congress's August recess.
