Disabled Woman Pleads to a Lesser Charge
RIVERSIDE - A brain-damaged woman, who was charged with three felonies for stealing candy and a Pepsi from a gift shop and then grabbing for an officer's gun when he tried to retrieve them, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a lesser charge. The woman's family described her as having the cognitive skills of a 6-year-old.
