Judge Orders Convicted Abortion Doctor to Start Serving Sentence Forthwith

RIVERSIDE - In a dramatic conclusion to the politically charged case of an abortion provider convicted in the death of a patient, a judge Friday sentenced Dr. Bruce Steir to 180 days in county jail and, over his attorney's protests, ordered him to start serving the time immediately.
