Judge Rebuffs Software Giant's Request for a Delay

WASHINGTON-The federal judge presiding over the antitrust case against Microsoft Corp. dealt the software giant a stunning blow Wednesday, denying the company's request for further discovery and evidentiary hearings to defend against the government's proposed remedy to break it in two.
