Judge Willing To Reconsider Raise Practices

Assistant Presiding Judge James A. Bascue said he would be willing to revisit the process that yielded secret raises for a select cadre of court administrators if there was a "will or reason" to change the policy. However, according to two judges not included on the committee that granted the pay increase of up to 37 percent, they see no reason for such decision-making to be made public.
