San Bernardino Appoints Next PD

SAN BERNARDINO - After a decade-long absence from the San Bernardino public defender's office, John E. Roth, a criminal defense lawyer, will return June 5 as the public defender. He was chosen by the county Board of Supervisors from 19 candidates to lead the office, the board announced Tuesday.
