Senate Confirms 16 Judges, Other Nominees
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Senate on Wednesday unanimously confirmed San Francisco U.S. Magistrate Judge Phyllis Hamilton as a U.S. district judge for the Northern District of California. In the same vote, it confirmed Seattle lawyer Richard Tallman to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
