INS Releases Alien on Bail
Tony Alvarado is hoping Tuesday's action by immigration officials in granting his release on a $10,000 bond is a sign for the better. "I am very grateful, very happy to be reunited with my family. I am thankful that these people found a soft spot in their heart," Alvarado, 28, said on his release from an immigration jail on a deportation order stemming from a 10-year-old conviction for a crime he claims he didn't commit.
