Judge Won't Halt Cryobank Settlement

SANTA ANA - An Orange County Superior Court judge Tuesday refused to halt or delay a process currently underway that could lead to the destruction of genetic material harvested by the now defunct UCI-affiliated fertility clinics. Last month, a letter sent by the court to over 300 individuals, said that their frozen sperm or embryos could be destroyed after 30 days if they did not provide instructions regarding disposition of the genetic material.
