Funding for 12 new judges nixed from Brown's final budget

Governor Jerry Brown dashed the Judicial Council's hopes of adding new judges in the upcoming fiscal year. The legislature sent Brown a budget proposal Monday that included roughly $7.8 million in funding to fill 12 vacant judge positions.
