Transgender employees get more support for restroom access

To complement case law, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recently announced it supports transgender employees using the restroom they feel identifies best with their gender.

Upon returning to work after her gender transition, Alabama-based disabled veteran
Tamara Lusardi volunteered to use a single-use executive restroom instead of the common
female restroom until she completed a final medical procedure. But the executive restroom
was often out of order, forcing Lusardi to use the female facilities.
