Lumber Liquidators loses defamation suit against environmental group

An Alameda County judge has dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought by Lumber Liquidators Inc. against an environmental group for suing the company.

An Alameda County judge has dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought by Lumber Liquidators Inc. against an environmental group that sued the company.


Superior Court Judge Wynne S. Carvill rejected the lawsuit on Wednesday, citing California's protection from strategic lawsuits against public participation, known as anti-SLAPP.
