In another in its long line of cases related to federal habeas review of state convictions, the U.S. Supreme Court announced Monday it would hear a Texas habeas case.
The court will determine whether the federal court had jurisdiction to adjudicate the habeas petition of Raphael Gonzales, a convicted murderer, and if he filed it too late. The case comes out of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
