Hotel to Pay for Firing 'Ethnic Looking' Workers

The Mondrian hotel may have to take to heart the adage "pretty is as pretty does." The chic Sunset Strip establishment, home of the hip Sky Bar, has agreed to pay $1.08 million to nine valets and bellmen, all but one a minority, who were fired in 1996 because they were too "ethnic looking."
