Woo Can't Run Again for Council Seat

Former City Councilman Michael Woo can't run for his old seat again, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Thursday. The language of the new charter provision on term limits is clear on its face, Judge Dzintra Janavs said, and prohibits anyone who has served two terms from running for that office again. Woo v. J. Michael Carey, BC232628. Carey is city clerk of the city of Los Angeles.
