Former state high court justice to be sworn in as ambassador

Former California Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno will be ceremoniously sworn in Thursday as U.S. ambassador to Belize at an invitation-only event in Pasadena.

LOS ANGELES - Former California Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno will be ceremoniously sworn in Thursday as U.S. ambassador to Belize at an invitation-only event in Pasadena.


Moreno, who previously served as a federal district court judge and a superior court judge in Los Angeles, said he hoped to bring his legal experience to bear in his new role.
