Redwood City firm helps casino defeat wage and hour class action

In an extremely rare wage and hour class action trial, lawyers for a Colma casino defeated claims that the company had illegally taken tips from 43 employees.


Represented by Hartnet, Smith & Paetkau in Redwood City, Lucky Chances Inc. convinced Judge Joseph R. Bergeron that their policy of redistributing some tips to other workers was lawful.
