O'Melveny awards scholarships to 13 LAUSD students
O'Melveny & Myers LLP partner and scholarship committee chairman Matt Kline with four of the 13 Los Angeles Unified School District students who received the 2014 Warren Christopher Scholarships on May 22 at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The Christopher Scholarship program recognizes high school sophomores who are rising academic stars and who face economic challenges. Its goal is to motivate the students to excel throughout high school and graduate from college. Each recipient will receive $5,000 a year while they attend college. The 20-year-old scholarship program is named after the former U.S. secretary of state and O'Melveny chairman.
