Alameda pro bono group honors attorneys

Awardees from left: sole practitioner Jason Elter; Jonathan M. Wong, partner at Donahue Fitzgerald LLP; Port of Oakland attorney Joshua Safran; sole practitioner Nadine Burg; sole practitioner Nicole Reyes; and Cindy Elwell, founder of Divorce with Dignity, a network of divorce support professionals. The Alameda County Bar Association's pro bono arm honored local attorneys, including Elter as its Mentor of the Year, and Burg, Reyes and Elwell as Volunteers of the Year at the annual ceremony in Oakland on Thursday. Wong received a Pro Bono Leadership award, and Safran delivered the keynote address.
