Protest Planned For State Bar Convention

Attorneys from across the state are expected to join a rally Saturday protesting the State Bar's decision to hold its 82nd annual meeting at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

SAN DIEGO - Attorneys from across the state are expected to join a rally Saturday protesting the State Bar's decision to hold its 82nd annual meeting at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

The hotel has been the subject of a lengthy boycott incited by hotel owner Doug Manchester's $125,000 donation in support of Proposition 8, the same-sex marriage ban approved by voters last November.
