9th Circuit's star conservative to take senior status
The most prominent conservative voice of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will grow quieter after 2016, as Judge Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain notified President Barack Obama on Monday that he will assume senior status on Dec.31.

The most prominent conservative voice of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will grow quieter after 2016, as Judge Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain notified President Barack Obama on Monday that he will assume senior status on Dec.31.
The announcement came on the 30th anniversary of O'Scannlain's appointment to the court by President Ronald Reagan in 1986.
