Orange County judge rejects motion to dismiss death penalty over informant controversy

Judge John D. Conley's sentencing comes after long battles over records.

SANTA ANA — An Orange County judge sentenced a double murderer to death on Friday, rejecting a motion to dismiss the death penalty that was based in part on newly discovered records about informants who interacted with the defendant in jail.
