Cities suing the state over money lost after redevelopment agencies dissolved

The city of Buena Park is the latest municipality to sue the California Department of Finance over money it claims to be owed after its local redevelopment agency was dissolved.

The city of Buena Park is the latest municipality to sue the California Department of Finance over money it claims to be owed after its redevelopment agency was dissolved.

The lawsuit, filed Friday on behalf of the Buena Park Successor Agency, is one of a series of suits by cities against the state agency. It seeks $3.7 million in damages.
