State Bar cancels events, including luau, amid cost and optics concerns

The State Bar has canceled some upcoming events, including a luau at the agency's annual meeting next week, citing costs and optics concerns.

Executive Director Elizabeth Rindskopf Parker also has indicated she will not approve contracts for casino nights that two of the bar's specialty practice groups planned.
