$4 million settlement ends LA County criminal suit against SoCalGas

A $4 million settlement to end criminal charges in the Porter Ranch gas leak likely won't influence the several civil cases pending against Southern California Gas Co.

Southern California Gas Co. has settled with the Los Angeles County district attorney's office for about $4 million after admitting to delays in reporting the gas leak that affected the Porter Ranch community, but plaintiffs' attorneys said the agreement will have no bearing on the many civil cases pending in state court.
