Trotter's departure from pioneer alternative dispute resolution provider that he helped grow into a staple in the U.S. legal system comes after nearly 30 years of success in a field that barely existed when he left the 4th District Court of Appeal in 1987.

ORANGE — A longtime friend and colleague of JAMS co-founder John "Jack" K. Trotter likens his retirement to that of Yankees baseball great Derek Jeter.
