Court to Review Exemptions For Churches
SAN FRANCISCO - In a case that will test how far government can go to accommodate religion, the California Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to decide the constitutionality of a 1994 law that allows churches to exempt themselves from local landmark preservation ordinances.
