Poor Awarded $455,000 in Slumlord Case

The Inner City Law Center, which battles slumlords on behalf of poor tenants, received notice Monday of a $455,000 judgment against the owner of two Victorian-style homes converted into apartment buildings, including $15,000 for a baby whose fall from a second story window was broken only when his diaper caught on a fence post below.
