9th Circuit Losing O'Connor, Too

WASHINGTON - If Supreme Court nominee Samuel A. Alito Jr. is confirmed as expected, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will need a new go-to justice to replace Sandra Day O'Connor, who not only has served as the 9th Circuit's point person on emergency requests, but also has been a frequent motivational speaker at its conferences.
