Justices Bar Bad-Faith Suits Against Surety Companies
SAN FRANCISCO - The California Supreme Court barred bad-faith suits against surety companies Thursday, throwing out a suit that once resulted in a $28 million punitive damage verdict for failing to pay on a construction performance bond.
