Lending the Voice of Experience

Gerald Chaleff, a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and a longtime criminal defense lawyer, was unanimously elected president of the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners Tuesday - providing the five-member oversight body with a fair leader who will focus a critical eye on the police department, according to civil rights attorneys and former Christopher Commission lawyers.
