Richard J. McAdams, an associate justice on San Jose's 6th District Court of Appeal, will retire Feb. 28.
McAdams, 66, said that after spending half his life on the bench, it was time to turn a page. "I want to learn to read music," said the guitar-playing jurist. "I want to clean the garage and learn how to use my iPhone."
