The California Bar Foundation, a nonprofit affiliate of the State Bar, dished out $221,000 in grants to projects aimed at improving access to legal services and education.
Divided among 16 projects within 11 organizations, the grants put special focus on programs that serve rural residents as well as those who cannot speak English.
