Legal Job Market Still Cool

A Labor Department report issued Friday showed the legal sector lost 1,000 jobs nationwide in December.

The legal sector lost 1,000 jobs nationwide in December, according to preliminary statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor's monthly employment report.


The dip extended the downward trend of the past three months, during which the industry shed 2,200 jobs, according to revised data. For California, the figures reflect a sector of the job market that has been shrinking since 2006.
