State Supreme Court Justice Carlos R. Moreno is stepping down to pursue a job in the private sector, he announced Thursday.
Moreno, 62, said he's ready to try something different after 24 years as a judge in federal and state court. He doesn't have an offer in hand yet, but expects to work in Los Angeles as a partner in a major firm or a dispute resolution organization.
