Gov. Brown Appoints Legal Secretary

Sacramento attorney Jonathan Renner previously worked under Brown at the attorney general's office as senior assistant attorney general for government law.

Gov. Jerry Brown announced Wednesday the appointment of Sacramento attorney Jonathan Renner as his legal affairs secretary.


Renner, who is a Democrat, had worked at the attorney general's office since 2000, most recently under Brown. He served as the senior assistant attorney general for government law.
