Rovi Deal Part of Cooley Streak

Cooley enjoying string of major acquisition deals.

Cooley and Morrison & Foerster scored the legal work on Rovi Corp.'s acquisition of fellow digital media company Sonic Solutions for approximately $720 million, making for Cooley's fifth major transaction in less than two weeks.


In the deal, announced Thursday, Santa Clara-based Rovi agreed to buy Sonic in a mixed stock and cash transaction, with shares valued at $14.17. That's a 38.2 ...
