Arizona judge Mary H. Murguia was confirmed Wednesday to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals by a unanimous vote of the U.S. Senate.
Murguia, 50, is a former federal and state prosecutor who has served on the federal trial court bench in Arizona since 2000.
