Judge Set to Find Lender in Contempt

A federal judge will set a hearing to determine how much in damages a lender owes a homeowner who lost home in foreclosure.

SANTA ANA - A federal judge said he will find a major lender in contempt for transferring ownership of a woman's home despite a state court's temporary restraining order barring foreclosure.


U.S. District Judge James V. Selna said he will soon schedule a hearing to determine how much in damages lender GMAC Mortgage and its foreclosure agent, ETS Services, may have to pay the homeowner. ...
