Contrary to Doreen Boxer's beliefs, the problem at the San Bernardino County Public Defender's Office was not with 5 percent of the lawyers in the office. ("San Bernardino Loses Another Public Defender," Dec. 16) I have been working as a deputy public defender for 23 years and I would say that an overwhelming majority could not stand to work for Ms. Boxer and her assistant, Lauri Ferguson.
