Judge tentatively narrows infringement claims against Cox

Defendants argued that the plaintiff had improperly bolstered its copyright claims.

LOS ANGELES — A short-form online video creator can move forward on copyright infringement claims against Cox Media Group LLC but will likely be barred from other claims alleging trademark infringement and unfair competition, a federal judge ruled Monday.
