Don't You Dare Try to Copy A Milberg Weiss Pleading

SAN FRANCISCO - A pleading filed recently in a San Francisco securities action contains an unusual footnote: a copyright notice. In what appears to be a first-of-its-kind attempt to claim copyright on a public document, a class action filed by Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach last Thursday in U.S. District Court in San Francisco contained a notice claiming proprietary ownership over the content of the court brief.
