SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco's newly approved ordinance that bans the substance bisphenol-A, which is used to make baby bottles and baby food jars, is pre-empted by state and federal laws, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday by litigation heavyweight Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
