Court Won't Open Accuser Reports

The California Supreme Court turned down Cardinal Roger Mahony's request Wednesday to unseal confidential records filed by alleged victims of sexual abuse along with their lawsuits.

      The California Supreme Court turned down Cardinal Roger Mahony's request Wednesday to unseal confidential records filed by alleged victims of sexual abuse along with their lawsuits.
      The decision lets stand a lower court ruling that found the documents, known as certificates of merit, should remain under court seal.
