Toyota taps LA trial lawyer for economic loss cases

Preparing for an uphill slog toward the first courtroom trial over unintended acceleration claims, Toyota Motor Corp. has hired a new top litigator, Thomas Nolan of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP.

LOS ANGELES - Preparing for an uphill slog toward the first courtroom trials over unintended acceleration claims, Toyota Motor Corp. has switched to high gear and hired a top litigator.


Thomas Nolan of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP will act as lead counsel for Toyota in the economic loss cases in both federal and state court, the company said Tuesday.
