A state appellate court rebuked a San Francisco law firm Monday for its handling of a dispute between an Illinois patent attorney and a San Jose firm.
Chapman, Popik & White LLP of San Francisco represented patent attorney Timothy Gens in litigation over $415,000 he owed to his previous lawyers, at Hopkins & Carley LLP of San Jose, for work performed in connection with a business disagreement.
